Everton keen on Zinchenko

Everton's interest in Zinchenko in partnership with theamericancityzen.medium.com

Everton to sign Zinchenko?

Reports have emerged in the past involving Everton's interest in Manchester City's Oleksandr Zinchenko, stating the midfielder is willing to leave the club to obtain regular game time as a midfielder, something Everton could offer in bid to solve their issues in the midfield.

The Athletic reported today that Zinchenko is set to be made available for transfer as Manchester City look to bring in Marc Cucurella from Brighton, stating Arsenal and Everton are interested in the Ukrainian but it's the Toffees that are the keenest on Oleksandr Zinchenko at the moment.

Backing up these claims is Fabrizio Romano, who reported that Manchester City are "prepared to allow Zinchenko to leave as they target Cucurella", he also mentioned that Zinchenko can be sold and Everton have him in the list of main targets.

Analysis from: The American Cityzen

Positionally, he can play in multiple areas. He can play left back or in midfield. He can play deeper or higher in midfield. For Ukraine, he plays higher. He probably shouldn't be a lone 6, but can work well in a double pivot. Great as a left back as well. He's not a super dynamic player, but very disciplined and fundamental. He's very good positionally, and very good passing and keeping the ball in tight spaces.

If he were to sign for Everton, I think he'd be a pretty big upgrade no matter where he'd play. As a City fan, I'd be sad to see him go. I love him. He has the best attitude. He's willing to do everything for the team and has an unbelievable work ethic. The perfect guy to have in a locker room. He'll do whatever is asked of him. If he came to Everton, you'd be getting an absolute gem and you'll learn to love him pretty quickly.

City sign a lot of guys that they normally loan out for a couple of years and eventually sell. That's what Zinchenko signing was intended to do. He was the only player that was signed for those purposes and broke into the first team. Any time a team wanted to buy him, he refused because he wanted to stay and fight at City.
